Urgh this is really difficult.
I know more than anything that I want to work somewhere in F1. My dream, let alone my dream job, is just to travel around the world with the F1 paddock and to be quite honest I don’t care what job I get. Obviously it’s so damn difficult to get in anywhere, but if F1 has taught me anything it’s that nothing is impossible and you should just go for it anyway, you have nothing to lose.
I wouldn’t want to be a driver I don’t think, regardless of whether I had the talent or not, I’m def not brave enough, or idiotic enough. (def don’t have the talent either anyhow)
Photographer is something I blabber on about for ages but I’m not deliberately trying to go for that, cause I know how difficult it is to get in, right? But that would I think be my dream job in F1, just travelling the tracks with my camera and basically nothing else. Sneaking into garages and making friends with mechanics and all the other press people, getting into driver briefings and being trackside for the start. kasdjjhesrjr, I can dream right? <3 Getting that one magic, once in a lifetime shot of sunlight through champagne on the podium. Stressing over which lenses to pack and living with constant jetlag, standing on tarmac where legends have made history.
But engineering is something I’ve always loved and it combines a few of my favourite subjects so I think it’s something I can reasonably aim for and try my best. <3 I think I’ve always liked the idea of being someone working on the front line, as close as you can get without being the actual driver. I love how they are just as important as the drivers and work as hard as they can, technically, for someone else’s glory. They often only get thanked quietly by the majority of fans but of course are vital to the success or failure of the team.
Ideal team to work for? Probably one with awesome history, but of course, teams probably will have changed by the time I get there. Ferrari, I think. If Alonso has gone by then. But I wouldn’t mind working in one of the lower teams at all (this is all providing I’m actually good enough when it comes down to it).
