Obviously being a driver is completely out of the question because I haven’t driven a regular car in nearly 2 years, let alone raced one. Going into the engineering/technical side of things would definitely be very interesting, rewarding and probably well paid, but I don’t have anywhere near the right qualifications and I’m not clever enough to get anywhere in that field. I quite like the idea of being a photographer, but that’s obviously very competitive, and everyone wants to be an F1 photographer! Also, I’ve never considered that I have any kind of photographic talent! I have, though, written race reports this season, and have had quite a lot of positive comments, so that’s where I think I could do well. I’d need to put a lot of work in to develop my own writing style and my own spin on the stories, but I’ve always had a way with words, so I’d definitely enjoy it. I also quite like the idea of working in the PR side of things, like organising media/sponsor events and drivers’ schedules etc. I’m a pretty organised person as it is so I could probably do quite a good job at that :) This is all just wishful thinking because I’m training to be a trumpet player, but it’s good fun to think about :)
